The Origins of Capoeira
Capoeira is a unique and dynamic blend of martial arts, dance, and music that originated in Brazil. Its roots trace back to the 16th century when African slaves were brought to Brazil by Portuguese colonizers. These slaves, primarily from West and Central Africa, brought with them a rich tapestry of cultural traditions, which melded together to form what we now know as capoeira.

Colorado, will be held on APRIL 26, 2025. The 1st Colorado Capoeira Competition, open to all capoeira groups and associations, is notifying all capoeiristas that registrations are being made through a form that we will be sent to the Group members.
